The Passion Started in 2022

In 2022, our family opened a small business in Whitby Ontario which sold Japanese groceries and hot food to the local community. Although the project (Osaka Food Market) was short lived, the owner's daughter, Ruby, became passionate about creating unique food and different flavors.

Ruby then had the opportunity to travel to Osaka Japan in 2024 and experienced all of the wonderful food options that were available. After trying unique ice cream flavors, an idea of blending Japanese flavors with more traditional western tastes created a desire to get started on a new project. At the age of 11, she had a vision of becoming an entrepreneur and getting her ice cream out to the public in Durham Region and eventually the entire Greater Toronto Area.

Armed with a new Musso Italian made ice cream machine, Ruby (with the help of her parents) started to learn and create new flavors. After several months, she had perfected the flavors that she felt best represented the vision of Japanese inspired flavors with western influences. Her goal was to make ice cream that is not too sweet, but sweet enough to please taste preferences from a variety of cultures. Flavor combinations such as Yuzu Strawberry and Matcha Nutella were born. She is sure that you will love them, so please give them a try!
